Wedding Shoes and Smiles

Last month I was able to share in the joy that was my sister's wedding.  As I was part of the bridal party, I wasn't able to take wedding photographs, but I did manage a few snaps of her and her daughter (Ava) after the ceremony.  Having witnessed Ava in her mom's closet,  I had already warned my sister that she was going to be a shoe girl!

Predictably unpredictable, the weather in Colorado in May kept us guessing.  It snowed heavily up until the day before the wedding, when the sun took over.  It was a perfect Spring Day for new beginnings...

Upcoming Castlecrag Fair, Indian PhotoArt and Blogs

Hi Friends,

I was recently contacted by a German tourist who had just returned to Germany after travelling through India. She had come across my artwork in India and was wanting to mention my Indian Photocards on her Blog.  For you German speakers, the link to her blog is:

Roughly translated, this means:

"There are some countries, where it is really hard to fine nice postcards for your friends & family at home. India is such a country. Most of the time you can't even find postcards at all or you have to bargain with streetsellers for cards, which even do not look nice. Recently I discovered the Art Decko collection. Emma Horne (head of the travel agency Himalayan River Runners) in coorperation with the australian photographer Pamela Pauline are producing the Art Decko Postcards, to help the above descripted problem. The attractive and unusual cards are a photo-art project, which is designed by Pamela Pauline inspired by her travel through India. The postcards are available at the travel agency Himalayan River Runners Adress: C-1, Basement, Community Centre, Safdarjung Development Area, New Delhi-110016), on melas and in small boutiques in Delhi. For more information about the availability contact Emma Horne directly. And visit the Site of Pamela Pauline to see more of her impressive work."

If you are in Australia, these cards are available directly through me.  If you are out and about in Sydney on Sunday, the 5th of June 2011, drop by my stall at the Castlecrag Community Fair, Castlecrag.  My cards will be available as well as other artwork on canvas and information about my photography services.

Hope to see you there!

Ava at Nine Months

Well, Christmas and the New Year have come and gone and I have completely neglected this journal.  As would be the case with many portrait photographers, it is the busiest time of the year and I am just now coming up for breath.  Having had my sister visit over the holiday period, however, I wanted to update my journal with a photo of my neice Ava.  So much fun to watch her grow....

Good Friends

The relationships that a woman develops with other mothers when their children are young is often very special. Being able to share the joys, as well as the difficulties of motherhood creates lasting bonds.  This particular Sydney based Mother's group still meets regularly after seventeen years.  What fun we had taking a few photos to capture this friendship....

Welcome Winter Holidays

July 3, 2010

Just before the end of second term, I had the opportunity to take a few photographs up at Lindfield Primary School to replace the photographs that I had taken years ago for the School's Office Hallway.  The children were all very eager to have their photos taken and were truly delightful.

Autumn in the Hunter Valley

June 15, 2010.  For the Queens Birthday this year (June Long Weekend), we joined friends at their property in the Hunter Valley.  No electricity, no electronic gadgets, just the beautiful sounds of nature, laughter and friendship.   Thanks Simone and Mike for having us.  This is a photograph taken on one of our gorgeous walks. May 2010.  I love this new website and the ability to write a journal.  My first entry coincides with my sister's first baby, born in Colorado.  With much excitement,  I was lucky to have the full support of my own family to abandon them for a week to share in the wonder of this new addition.  Needless to say, it was love at first sight.  Of course, my camera was never far from me...and I was able to capture some very tender is my precious niece, Ava.
